May is Better Hearing and Speech Month (#BHSM), a tie dedicated to recognizing professionals who raise awareness about communication disorders and enhance lives through speech.
Fun fact: Cole employs over 126 pediatric speech therapists across our 24 locations, representing more than 50% of the therapist workforce at Cole Pediatric Therapy!

CODE WORD: AUGMENTATIVE ALTERNATIVE COMMUNICATION (AAC)
What is Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)?
AAC is an umbrella term for a wide range of communication interventions and technologies that can support or replace natural speech. AAC is used by individuals who have difficulty communicating effectively through speech alone due to various medical conditions.
Our therapists provide support in the following areas:
- Provide a means of communication for children who have difficulty communicating verbally
- Improve socialization, self-esteem, and academic performance
AI ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT
In March, we introduced an AI chatbot on our website to assist visitors in finding answers to their urgent queries. This chatbot aims to minimize follow-up times for individuals who complete our contact forms, effectively handle administrative questions, and provide both parents and providers with information about the next steps for enrolling in our therapy services.
