“I get so thrilled with [Cole] because there’s not a high turnover, there’s continuity between one therapist to another, they communicate and it made it a smooth transition for HER.”
– Victoria Bower, mother of patient, Sadie Bower
At Cole we pride ourselves in high quality patient care day in, and day out. We strive to alleviate all worries and concerns for patients and parents alike, and are on a mission of truly bringing hope and changing lives. The countless life-changing stories that happen within our clinic walls often go untold, but thanks to parents like Victoria Bower, we are reminded why we love what we do and would like to share it with you.
Meet Sadie, a patient of Cole Pediatric Therapy
Sadie came to Cole at 5 months old when her parents, Victoria and Chris began to notice the developmental differences between she and other children her age. She was not mobile, could not hold her head up, and was not meeting key milestones. After a visit to a neurologist, doctors discovered Sadie was lacking myelin in her cerebral cortex, along with torticollis, and plagiocephaly which lead to her now undiagnosed developmental delay. Soon after these diagnosis’ Sadie started Physical Therapy twice a week at Cole.
“She’s made so much progress since being here!” – Victoria
After starting therapy, “Sadie became mobile at 19 months….about 2 months later she started crawling, and 2 weeks after her 2nd birthday [this past August] she started walking”, taking her first 5 steps in our clinic and she’s been going ever since!
“It’s been difficult at times to focus on her not meeting milestones, but at the same time she’s happy and she’s making progress!” – Victoria
Though Sadie’s full diagnosis remains unknown, her family is continuing their search for answers and are confident they will have one very soon given her remarkable progress. We are proud to have played such an integral role in the progress Sadie has made and remain optimistic that many more milestones will be met with the determined efforts of our team. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of Sadie’s journey!
